Our Goal

To teach some basic (to advanced) cooking skills that will last a lifetime to help you save money, eat more healthy, and be resourceful for whatever the future holds. Our goal in class is to teach how to make recipes from start to finish so students can go home and prepare a meal for their family.  Along with learning how to make the class recipe students will also learn cooking skills they can apply to other recipes and in future cooking.  We also cover budgeting ideas such as using coupons, shopping the sales, and how to make delicious food on a budget.

Homeschool Cooking Class

Offered at lunch time once a week. (includes lunch)

This class can be part of home economics curriculum and reimbursable as a third party class with My Tech High.

These classes will be the same as our homeschool classes, but offered at a time when public school students can attend. Submitting the form below will give us an idea of how many classes to offer and how much interest there is for this class.

Specialty Skills Class

These classes will focus on specific cooking skills such as: candy making, bread, pasta, canning, etc.  Classes will be scheduled depending on availability and interest.

Adult Student Class

These classes will be similar to our homeschool & general student classes, but for adults only.  This class is specifically for adults who are wanting to learn some basic cooking skills and recipes they can make homemade.

Expectations:

  • Students are expected to participate in the hands on parts of class when making the recipe together.
